Banning on Ili

My remembrance of Ileana, Elena’s sister, is a very long and special relationship as her brother-in-law for many years. We shared so much laughter and many family gatherings over the years that meant so much to me and so many. Whether it was walking on the beach, Easter egg rolls at their house or just hanging out having great conversations it was always amazing. She had a keen interest and listening ability that made you want to spend time with her. Elena and I were very lucky to have Ileana and Dan spend several weeks during the Covid period that was possible due to the in-law suite at our home that provided safe distancing. We would take long walks each day, on separate sides of the street to maintain safety. Our families and children have grown up together, vacationed together and we do so relish the generational values and love that was so much a part of Ileana’s core. I cherish the good times and memories shared and will embrace them to keep her alive in my life. Much love, Banning Ingram
