Family Bonds

When Mom brought us to this country from Cuba we were lucky enough to have family waiting for us with open arms and ready to help us get adjusted to life here. That is where our strong sense of family bond started. During our early years we made our annual drive from Maryland to Florida to see all the family. Trips were also made to Philadelphia, New York and Virginia to visit extended family. As our families grew Mom continued to make sure that we had quality family time so that our bonds would continue to grow through following generations. She always said I can leave you money or I can leave you memories and boy did she! Ili and I, our husbands, kids and now grandkids cherish all the family times she created for us on cruises, beach trips, mountain get aways and so many others. She also made sure our strong family bond with our extended family remained. This is so evident with all the out pouring of love and support that has been provided to all of us during this time. Ili loved and treasured her family which we are so honored to be part of. It is now on us to make sure these bonds for future generations are nourished and grow.
