No regrets! Beth on Ili

I don't remember exactly when I first met Ili but I remember liking her right away. Her warmth and friendliness were immediate and it felt good to be on the receiving end of this kindness.

Our paths crossed sporadically through the years. To my delight, she and Dan retired to Lewes where Tom and I often vacationed. It was a treat to see them when we were there, and even better to grow closer when we bought our own home in Lewes and ultimately retired there too.

I can't overstate what a positive influence and presence Ili has been - continues to be - in my new chapter of retirement and life in Del. During our weekly walks we talked about any and everything! I sought out and appreciated her sage advice and encouragement re: the mundane (shopping, doctors) to the profound (no regrets!).

The hole left is huge. I'm grateful to see and feel her love, spirit and beauty in her beloved Dan, her incredible daughters Brianna and Tess and her smiling sweet Obie. May her memory be a blessing.
